Kenny Chesney – Life on a Rock

Kenny Chesney released “Life on a Rock” yesterday. It has a very islandy feel and tune to the album. So far “Pirate Flag” and “Spread the Love” are my favorites. “Spread the Love” makes you feel like you should be floating on a boat out in the Caribbean with a cocktail and friends. Kenny’s sending all of his proceeds from digital single sales of “Spread The Love” from the new album to Boston Medical Center for prosthetics and treatment for the bombing victims. It’s a big Summer for Kenny as he releases his new line of Rum, Blue Chair Bay Rum later this month.

Kenny Chesney Concert Goin’ Coastal Tampa, FL

On Saturday March, 19th we headed south to Tampa from Orlando for the Kenny Chesney Goin’ Coastal concert. We left Orlando in plenty of time to arrive at Raymond James Stadium to tailgate with the other fans. Our drive should have been a little over an hour but due terrible traffic it took us three hours to get there. It was the worst Orlando to Tampa traffic Ive ever experienced and Ive lived here my whole life.

We thought the concert started at 4 pm but when we arrived we realized it started at 4:30 pm. We went in the stadium and found our seats. We were at about the 50 yard line with a decent view.

If you have been to a Kenny Chesney concert before you know he doesn’t normally come out on the stage. I saw where he was going to come out of on a swing and let the rest of the group know that they shouldn’t have their eyes on the stage when his song starts playing.

Sure enough… he rose up on a swing and it took him to the stage. This was one of the best Kenny Chesney concerts I’ve been to. This was my 8th KC concert and first stadium KC concert.

Uncle Cracker, Billy Currington, Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesney played for over 6.5 hours. You might think that’s a long concert but it flew by. We made friends with all the rows around us, so the concert was over before we knew it.

If you haven’t been to a Kenny Chesney concert it’s well worth the cost and/or drive to go and see him. Now I need to work on SandBar tickets for his Jacksonville date in May! :)

Kenny Chesney Goin’ Coastal Tour About to Kick-Off

I have been traveling to various cities to see Kenny Chesney since 2003. Kenny is kicking off his Goin’ Coastal tour St. Patricks Day in West Palm Beach. I am attending his first stadium concert of the series at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa this Saturday March 19th. Ten of us paid a hefty $150 each for our tickets! I am not sure that we will make it down in time for tailgating but I am sure we will make up the drinking once were inside the stadium.  Here are a few photos from our previous Kenny Chesney concerts.
